Topic: Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO)
Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) OR Employment Process Outsourcing (EPO) is a strategic decision for organizations today. Companies identify the non core activities in recruitment process and start outsourcing them e.g. sourcing, screening, managing ATS. After outsourcing within their countries, U.S and European companies look for offshore outsourcing to countries like India. The initial benefits from this might attract a lot of corporate recruitment divisions to outsource some of the processes to countries like Mexico, China, and India. Companies look for outsourcing more high level jobs to third parties e.g. creating recruitment plans, telephonic interviews etc. They now have onsite coordinator for face to face interaction and use technology like video conferencing (over broadband) more effectively to recruit. Just like Offshore - Global Development Centers you will see Global Resourcing / Recruitment Centers (GRCs) coming up in low cost areas. The advantages of outsourcing are that: the client can save their time and resources by outsourcing mundane / routine processes and utilize the same time of their own employees in other more efficient processes. For the RPO Company, it’s a business opportunity. Also, the resources deployed to the client location may not essentially be freshers since the expectation from the client is pretty high. They look for value addition and the resources are expected to sync into the client's system and deliver.
RPO service brings the following key benefits to its clients:
> Reduced recruitment costs
> Accelerated hiring times
> Improved quality of candidates
> Reduced attrition
>
Optimum flexibility and scalability.
