June 14th is observed as World Blood Donor’s day and the ideal way to commemorate this day was by conducting a Blood Donation camp and creating awareness of the importance of blood donation. That is exactly what the students of GIDF CLUB of IIPM Chennai did. The creative and innovative students of IIPM brought out colourful posters highlighting the importance of blood donation with catchy slogans which motivated the students to come forward and donate blood.

We are thankful to the Lions Blood Bank for agreeing to come forward and collect the blood. The doctors and the staff of the blood bank extended their fullest cooperation to make the camp a success. The combined efforts of all concerned resulted in the collection of 41 units of blood. We congratulate and compliment the students who participated in this noble project. The donor’s contribution was appreciated and acknowledged by the Lions Blood Bank by distributing certificates to them. We hope this camp will motivate and inspire more students to participate in social projects in the future.

Under the guidance of Ms Padma Dyavannavar Chairperson of GIDF Club the students of PGP/SS/08-10 batch particularly Mr.Rahul Chhabria, Mr.Karan Sanklecha & Mr. Prasanna showed great initiative, enthusiasm & leadership in this noble activity.

Donate Blood, Save Lives

Intended for the service of humanity, at the dawn of the New Year, the GID club of IIPM CHENNAI in association with Lions club of Chennai Anbalaya, organized a blood donation camp on 7th Jan 2008.
The event was a step to hoe every person with a feel of responsiveness for the society. There was a generous participation from the students’ side. IIPM personnel as well played a vital role in contributing to this juncture.

Number of registration strike to 68 units that covered the preceding mark of 56.
The affair sighted the presence of PMJF.Ln.Govindasamy Thangaraj, District Governor Lions Club International District 324-A1.The events’ media partner S.S. Music Channel covered nearly the entire agenda.

This encouraged every single people to pledge on them ‘to make a better world for you and for me and the entire human race…’

Become a Life Saver- Donate Blood
It only takes a few minutes to save another person’ life

GID club in association with Indian Red Cross Society organized yet another successful blood donation camp on 20th June 2007.

Students were actively participating thus increasing the overall enthusiasm. They qued up and waited patiently while the doctor did the preliminary checking.

For many students it was the first experience of donating blood, so a sense of satisfaction was clearly visible as they were contributing towards a noble cause.

All those who donated blood were awarded with certificates from Indian Red Cross Society

This noble cause received overwhelming response from all students and faculty members of IIPM.

Actor Sibi Raj visited the camp and spent some time with the students. He took special interest as he himself is a regular donor and sincerely supports this cause.

Thus the 5th blood donation camp also received the highest number of donated units.

These blood units will be distributed among the poor and needy people from different Government run and private hospitals.
