The Cult Club is responsible for promoting the Indian culture at IIPM, Chennai. It’s one of the liveliest clubs. The Cultural club, “Cult” along with the social service club, “G.I.D.F.” conducted “Dazzling Diwali” on 25th October, 2008. Deepavali / Diwali is popularly known as the "Festival of Lights".

The most significant spiritual meaning is the awareness of the inner light, where the lights or lamps signify victory of good over evil within every human being.

Ms. S. Kowsalya a student from UGP/08-11 decorated the venue by a colorful Rangoli. The event commenced at 5 p.m. at IIPM ground floor.  Students, faculties and staffs enjoyed the event by bursting crackers and lighting the campus.

Cult club, G.I.D.F. Club along with IIPM & Planman fraternity joined hands in sponsoring a Public Addressing System to the G.I.D.F. School which will be of great use to them.

As the name suggests, the Cult Club is responsible for promoting the Indian culture at IIPM, Chennai. It’s one of the liveliest clubs. This Club provides a platform for the students to showcase their talents and develop their skills in the field of music, dance and fine arts in the backdrop of various cultures. Cult Club has shown its difference by motivating not just the budding lady managers but also the gentlemen to participate in the Rangoli /Pookalam Competition which was held on 22nd September, 2008. This event has shown the importance of teamwork which is evident in the art exhibited by these budding professionals. Kudos to all participants who now may be hailed as one team-“Team  Cult” Students were really excited and totally involved in depicting  exposing their creativity, aesthetic sense, time management, cultural hues and team spirit.

IIPM CHENNAI Entertainment and Media Quiz-CULT CLUB

Event Description with details of the event:

To take a break from the mundane academic activity CULT club had organized an entertainment and media quiz on March 30th.IIPM’s own Quiz master Patrick conducted the Quiz. Twelve teams of two each registered and 6 teams were short listed for finals after a round of prelims. The preliminary round was a written test where the questions were from the current media trends which included both print and electronic media. The six teams that went on stage prayed to their lucky stars to grab the first place in the quiz. Each team was more competitive than the other. There were three rounds and in every round the teams were holding on to their seats to answer the right one and score better than their opponents. Mrinal Manu and Thyagarajan M who are IIPM”s Quiz wizards bagged the first place followed by Gautam and Srinivas in the second place. The whole 2 hours was fun and frolic and everybody enjoyed the knowledge sharing session to a great extent.
