The ever so talented Students of IIPM, Chennai conducted a one day social awareness exhibition on “Importance of Wearing Helmets”. This exhibition was initiated on 30th July, 2009. It stressed upon the importance of individual social responsibility and aimed at motivating two wheeler riders to wear helmets, a very noble cause indeed.

The function was inaugurated by Mrs. Kannegi Packianathan I.A.S., Special Secretary to the Government. The exhibition showcased the creative advertisements designed by students of IIPM, Chennai, across all batches. The myth ‘involvement of management students in social awareness campaigns is a very rare event’ was disproved by students of IIPM, Chennai a great achievement indeed said Mrs. Kannegi Packianathan.

Mr. Manokaran, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic and Planning who was the chief guest for the valedictory function selected the best poster which was put up for display in the exhibition. Ms. D.Aparna, student of UGP/07-10 whose poster was selected as the best one among the many creatives submitted by our students, received a helmet from Mr. Prasoon Majumdhar, All Indian Dean Academics of IIPM.

Students of IIPM, Chennai. Mr. Somasundharam (PGP/SS/06-08), Mr. S. Karan (PGP/SS/06-08), Mr. Gururajan (EMBA/09-10) and Ms. P. Shamma (PGP/SS/09-11) played a very vital role in executing this event successfully. The campaign was sponsored by DRANIX SK, PRIMEX, and RAMPAL MOTORS AND SAMSUNG PLAZA.
