CHENNAI INTERNATIONAL HALF MARATHON 2009

Srinivasan, Rijil, Manoprabha, Santosh from SS 09-11 and Chippy from IIPM Events did their alma mater proud by making a difference in the lives of thousands of poor children. They all participated in the Chennai International Half Marathon on September 27th 2009. The marathon was initiated last year by Tamil Maiyam in aid of GiveLife charity which was jointly founded with Shriram Social Welfare.

IIPM’s Great Indian Dream Foundation and students attached to it share the same vision as the organizers of the event. A noble vision to provide holistic educational support to underprivileged children and extend skill programs which would mould their personality to deal with the challenges of society.

Our students and staff ensured that IIPM is not left out of this awesome initiative which saw around 2 lakhs people from different walks of life participate. The event also featured international marathon runners from Europe and Africa.

We all sincerely hope that this small step for our students becomes a Giant Leap for the scores of children belonging to economically challenged families.
