Orientation - Spring Summer 2008-10
Orientation, the first day for the aspiring achievers, has proved its significance once again; a day of celebration & oath for commitment for all the talented future managers.
The class of Spring Summer 2008-10 was welcomed at ‘The Ambassador Pallava’ on 23rd of May 2008.The program was scheduled from 11:00 am to 02:30 pm.
The programme started with the preparatory words of Ms. Archana, Academic Coordinator IIPM Chennai, who welcomed the honorable guests on stage for lighting the lamp of knowledge. This was followed by welcome speech by Dean-Academics, Prof. R. Krishnan,
While Prof. Krishnan briefed the students how exciting the next two years will be for them, other speakers emphasized on sincerity and outlined a career path for the students enabling them to realize how important & crucial the next two years would be to each of them.
Prof. Rohit Manchanda (Dean- Centre for HRD, N.Delhi) mesmerized the audience with his meticulously crafted speech which was nicely supported with examples. It was indeed a great learning opportunity for the new students to witness the presence of the prominent people who have had illustrious corporate innings and organizations. Event : Orientation – For the Batch of
FW/07-09 & UGP/07-10
Orientation, a unique introductory day for the tender footers, has proved its significance each time when it is grandly carried out in IIPM.A day of celebration for all the talented budding managers who keep their feet on the red carpet of The Indian Institute of Planning and Management with high expectations and liveliness. This influential session aims to reduce and eliminate any mind-set of isolation that students invariably feel during the first few days and weeks in this world class B-School.
The class of Fall Winter 2007 was greeted at The Comfort Inn-Marina Tower on 24th of August 2007.The program was scheduled from 10:00 am to 02:30 pm. It was a great pleasure for the institute to witness the presence of the prominent and highly skilled instructors who have had illustrious corporate innings with esteemed institutions and organizations. They all contributed their thoughts for the day. Dr. Mohanchandarlal, Ex-Director of Maharishi Institute of Management – Bangalore; Dr.Ravi Lochanan, author of twelve books and articles for The India Economy Review; Prof.Naveen Chamoli, Director Planman Consulting (All India); Prof.Amlan Ray, Dean-Administration IIPM Chennai; Prof R.Krishnan, Dean-Academics IIPM Chennai and Prof.Debojit Choudhury, Vice President Planman Consulting, were the dynamic orators.
The course started with the preparatory words of Ms.Priyanka Mohta, Academic Coordinator IIPM Chennai, who welcomed the honorable guests on stage to initiate the process by lighting of the lamps. This was followed by the speeches of Dr.Lal, Prof.Ray, Dr.Lochanan, Prof.Krishnan, Prof.Choudhury and Prof.Chamoli respectively. The panel-members acknowledged the beginners with warm and motivational speeches. Author of the book “A Branded Life”, Prof.Chamoli magnetized the auditorium with his powerful vocalization which was held up with beautifully related examples. The program was filled with skilled annotations which churned the first day of the class with sky-scraping ideas.
After the power packed inspirational brilliant salutations, there were some more final strokes. The much awaited, mouth-watering splendid victuals for lips smacking. Following these tasty bites began part-2 of the day’s events hosted jointly by Ms.Vidya Banerjee and Ms.Mohta. The eagerly awaited class room allocation, roll number allotment and acquaintance with the packed class schedule that would be a pre-cursor to the busy early-morn to late eve life of a corporate czar! |
