Farewell

The night of 06 May 2006, an occasion to bid farewell for the outgoing students of IIPM –Hyderabad, a night which was never seen before and never be again. PGP/FW/2004-06, the 2nd Batch of IIPM Hyderabad was organized at Taramati Baradari.

In order to endow with an exceptional ambience for the occasion and also to keep everybody’s interest alive, the organizer’s selected a venue at the top of the Monument of “Taramati Baradari”. The Taramati Baradari is an amalgam of the romance and grace of the middle ages…the Seventh Sultan of Golconda, Abdullah Qutb Shah’s ode to his favorite courtesan Taramati providing the setting for musical evenings that the Sultan reveled in while reposing in the Golconda Fort. Now the Taramati Baradari has been revived and has become the centerpiece of an ultra modern Convention and Cultural compound. This Cultural Complex is away from the din & bustle of the city, yet within the reach of the city centre. The illumination settings lending an unique ambience couldn’t be more picturesque.

The get-together was lively ensuring full attendance although the venue was far from the city. The batch was fascinated to once again meet their batchmates for the last moment of their student life.  The faculties and staff were also present with this exciting and heartrending occasion represented by IIPM-Hyderabad Dean Prof. Amit Baruah, and award winning professors Prof. G.Hara Gopal, Prof. A.M Rao, Prof. Hanumanth Raju, Prof. Sapna Singh and our internal faculty Prof. Nischal Mahajan.

The environment was full of fun & frolic with all the students actively participating in sharing good and fun filled learning times they had and bided their farewell messages. The dance floor was always heavily crowded with jostling students, shaking to the blaring music.

The close location, facilities available and an excellent menu planned for the dinner, set the right mood. All the passed out students were keen to enjoy to the fullest, before they join their respective companies, embarking on their future careers. The presence of the faculties and friends, added to the excitement and encouragement that the students received. The students were also in a celebratory mood and disheartened for moving away from the IIPM’s family.

There could not be any better way of saying goodbye to their scholars who are equipped and seasoned to charge the complexities of complex and colorful corporate world. The night was truly marvelous and the style in which it was convened was a masterpiece in itself.
