PT-30
Date:20th to 23rd June 2005
Venue: IIPM, Mumbai
IIPM Mumbai began our T-30 competitions on 23rd June 2005! The registration for the events reflected the enthusiasm and urge of the students to participate in the events. A fierce sense of competition raged among the students as they began preparing for the competition in earnest.
The IIPM tower was filled with posters to create greater competition and excitement… “Which event have you registered for?” And “Who is your partner?” were the questions we could hear among the student community. “It’s going to be fun.” were the buzz words.
AD ZAP: The creative heads of the advertising companies will soon have to look for another job as our teams are set to enter the market soon. The participants had to make a print ad, a jingle and a TV commercial in a span of half an hour…. Each team launched their product with innovative strategies- they were all complete out of the box ideas.
CHOREOGRAPHY: The stage was on fire when the choreography event was conducted… all we had to say is “Light Camera Action!” the students performed with grace and style.
DUMB CHARADES: One needs to see to believe the talent pool in IIPM, Mumbai, we had intense competition in Dumb Charades 6 rounds of movies, phrases, musicals in Hindi and English were not enough to decide who the best is! But every game needs to have a winner and so did this one.
COLLAGE MAKING: Imaginations went wild but logic held the grip tight every collage was a piece of art and had a beautiful theme to go with it.
FACE PAINTING: Colors, themes and ideas were put together on one face to demonstrate the creativity each team member possessed. It was difficult to judge which face was done in the best fashion as every judge thought each team deserved the win.
BEST MANAGER: Every event brought the best of the participant making us rediscover our student’s abilities and reinforced our confidence in each of them. The “Best Manager” event was for once wished as being an event for “Best Managers”…strategic thinking, management skills and leadership qualities were the characteristics of all those who analyzed the cases given to them.
CORPORATE QUIZ: Three rounds and each getting tougher from the previous one. This event held our head high with pride as we saw our students empowered with corporate knowledge which definitely will help them to build a strong future for themselves.
FLIP BACK: Hats off to our Executive communication Professors who have trained the students for speaking confidently. For once every judge thought “was this the same candidate who spoke for the topic seconds back?”- Voice modulation, confidence, body language changed as the students flipped! The judges were absolutely stunned by the performance of the students.
JAM: “BANG” as one commits a mistake but who got to hear the bang? We heard just a few as the event progressed all the speakers had a good command over the language making JAM a tough event to win.
CREATIVE WRITING: Well IIPM, Mumbai’s creativity does not stop at painting and collage making it only begins there the students wrote amazing stories as they put on their thinking caps.
DEBATE: The classroom was just warming up when the debate topics were given conviction was key word and it was displayed brilliantly by the students.
ANTAKSHARI: Are these MBA students or movie buffs? 30 teams, 8 rounds, 2.5 hours of non- stop singing without any repetition of songs!!! Bollywood is definitely nestled in the IIPM, Mumbai crowd.
PT-30 brought the entire IIPM family together not only did the students have fun but it was also an experience of a life time for every member of IIPM. |
