Understanding business ethics and adhering to them is one of the principles taught at The Indian Institute of Planning and Management. Keeping in mind these ethics IIPM organized a GOTA trip to the United States of America which was the first of its kind in terms of the destination.Students were selected on the basis of a rigorous scanning process. 5 students were selected from the Mumbai IIPM branch.

The highlight of the trip was that students got to interact with other iipmites from different centers located all over India.

The entire trip was modeled on the fundamentals of learning with fun. The institutes that the students visited over the 10 day period play a very vital role in today’s economy.
To name a few The World Bank, International Monetary Fund (IMF), The UN, Sanofi Aventis a pharma big wig, Dow chemicals a company that has diversified its business from cables that are used for telecommunications to preservatives that are used in packaged food products.

All the sessions revolved around a seminar that lasted for a hour which was followed by a question and answer session. This helped student’s clear doubts that they had.
Students also got an opportunity to interact with Mr. Ajay Banga the M.D at Citi Corp.
Every seminar concluded with a vote of thanks which was given by students.
Amit Khanna from the Mumbai branch gave the vote of thanks at the World Bank which won accolades for his flawless speech.

In a nut shell the entire program harped on the concept of understanding world economies and how major institutions make a difference by making their presence felt.

The program was once in a life time opportunity that all of us would savor for the rest of our lives.
