Topic : Corporate Entrepreneurship: Leveraging Innovation for Strategic Growth

Prof. Ari Ginsberg is the Director of Stern School’s Berkley Center for Entrepreneurial Studies and the Harold Price Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation. He is also a professor of Management and Organisational Behavior.

Since he joined NYU in 1984, Professor Ginsberg has taught courses on business and corporate strategy, competitive analysis, strategic leadership and change, new business development, and corporate venturing and innovation. He has taught in the undergraduate, MBA, Ph.D., and executive programs at the Stern School and has been a visiting faculty at the London School of Business and the Cranfield School of Management in England. He received the “Citibank Excellence in Teaching Award” in 1996 and was named “Peter Drucker Fellow” in 1998.

Professor Ginsberg’s primary areas of research interest include entrepreneurial processes and strategies, corporate venture capital investment, and the role of managerial cognition in driving technological innovation and organizational transformation. He has published numerous articles in leading scholarly journals, which include: Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, and Journal of Management Studies. He is the recipient of multiple academic honors, including the Tenneco Fund Best Paper Award and the Academy of Management Managerial Consultation Division Best Paper Award. He is currently on the editorial boards of the Strategic Management Journal and Journal of Business Venturing and a past member of the editorial boards of Academy of Management Review, Journal of Management, and Organization Science.

Professor Ginsberg received his MBA and his Ph.D. in Strategic Planning and Policy from the University of Pittsburgh, and a Master’s degree in Human Learning and Cognition from Columbia University.
