Supreme Court of India dismisses all AICTE cases against IIPM and upholds IIPM's right to impart MBA education without AICTE approval

The fight was on since 2007. AICTE believed that IIPM's program was under its purview and kept on sending notices. IIPM on its part kept challenging those notices and going about aggressively promoting its programs and in 2013 got all notices against it dismissed in the High Court of Delhi. AICTE then went to the Supreme Court and challenged the order. Finally after 12 long years, it is our sheer delight to share, IIPM has gained the legal right to run its MBA level education programs without any interference from AICTE.

Through an order dated 24th July 2019 wrt S.L.P. (C) No. 17765 of 2014 SUPREME COURT OF INDIA's three member bench - which included the Honorable Chief Justice of India, Shri Ranjan Gogoi - upheld IIPM's decades long contention that management education does not come under AICTE (and doesn't need AICTE approval) by dismissing AICTE's case appeal against IIPM

IIPM always claimed that its courses were superior to normal MBA level courses taught anywhere in the country and are proud that we were the fore-runners in this battle for autonomy and never bowed down to any pressure from AICTE ever.
