Rhetorix (The Communication Club)

Rhetorix is the Debate & Communication Club at IIPM, The Indian Institute of Planning & Management. The club organizes Guest Lectures, Debates and other communication exercises for students. The club believes in "Building Orators" through a series of events and exercises. Among all the events organized by the Rhetorix Club, the most notable event being the annual Aurobindo Chaudhuri Memorial Debate Competition.

Turning Letters Into Words

With an aim to judge the retaining skills and vocabulary of the Spring Summer Batch 2011-13 and UG Batch 2010-14, IIPM Gurgaon conducted "Turning letter into words" competition on July 13' 2011.The affair was conducted in the institute's cafeteria and had participation from seven teams with three students each. In this event, cards were placed with words written on them on the table and were displayed infront of students. Then cards were turned around and each team was asked to pick cards. Each card had a specific point.Each team was given fifteen minutes to use their cards and were challenged to make the highest letter word using each card only once. The team with the most points at the end won. Each team was assigned with a section of the cafeteria to arrange letters into words. The event was truly impeccable and picture perfect for the enthusiastic minds of IIPM.The panel of judges included the senior faculty members who evaluated the teams on the basis of their skills. The winning team was awarded with merit certificates.Keeping team spirit in the minds of the youngsters alive, the event was a colossal victory.
