IIPM Bangalore organizes Shri Aurobindo Memorial Tournament at St. Johns cricket ground

Shri Aurobindo Memorial Tournament was scheduled from 27th-29th at St. John`s cricket ground for all the batches. The matches started on time with all the fixtures being placed. It started @ 7 am and 5 matches were played on the first day and were followed for the 2nd day as well. Finally the 3rd day after the semi-finals, the finals were played. The matches were very interesting and the finally the winners were SS 11-13 A2. The entire tournament was being closely monitored by club Torque chairperson Mr. Rahul Sharma and Joint –vice chairperson Mr. Dipankar majumdar. The entire event was a big success with the co-ordination of the club Torque secretary and the co-ordinators and then concluded by Prof .Tareque Lashkar by giving the medals to the winners and runners up.

IIPM Bangalore hosts a Snooker Tournament

IIPM Bangalore hosted Intra College Snooker tournament on 20th of April at KSBA (Karnataka state billiards association) .The game was played in time format where the competition had become much harder because just winning wouldn’t qualify them to the next 2nd round. Quarter finals being a knock out stage had 4 matches among the 8 participants. After a nerve racking Quarter final round we had the top 4 out of the 28 participants. The Final was a face-off between Arun D student of FW 11-13 batch and Uzair who works for the events and corporate relation team. The match had a dramatic start, as in the first frame Arun outsmarted Uzair and won the round. The second frame saw a total 360 degree change with Uzair revealing his ability to turn things around- outscoring Arun by a huge margin. Both the finalists, having come so far, refused to give in the title without a fight that would be a treat for the spectators. Numerous twists and turns later, Arun pocketed the final with a clinically efficient display, holding his nerve during the tight moments.

IIPM Bangalore organizes the Football Tournament

Are you ready to rumble! Goal 2012 was a power backed two days of football mayhem. With over 12 teams from all batches and over 300 students in the ground, life at IIPM Bangalore for two days was power backed. The tournament which was conducted in a league fashion saw a lot of action on both days with teams fighting it out for a berth in the semi finals. The students of FW 12-14, SS 11-13 A1, SS 11-13 A2 & SS 12-14 got into the semi finals for action filled grand finale. The final featured SS/11-13/A2 & SS/12-14 which was won by the Seniors SS/11-13/A2. The finals saw an amazing goal from Bijesh from the half line! SS/ 11-13/ A2 clinched the title 3-0. The event was closed with the prize distribution ceremony and medal distribution. A special shout out to Dipankar Sir & Naveen Kumar from Club Torque for their dedicated contribution.
