The Great Indian Dream

The GID Club has the objective of making India developed in health, education and employment by the year 2025. This will happen only when growth and development is targeted more importantly for the bottom 80% of India's population; thus the club aspires to strengthen the Indian economy from its roots by making the weaker section of the society more educated, aware, healthy and employable.

IIPM Cochin organizes a session on CSR

Mrs. Rashmi Deepak a social entrepreneur by profession, whose greatest passion is to teach children, was special guest. In 1995, as a youth representative from India at the World Summit of Children, held as part of the 50 anniversary celebrations of the UNITED NATIONS at San Francisco, USA, she met Reverend Desmond Tutu and UN Secretary General Boutros Ghali. This was her first exposure to the need of children all over the world for good education. Her aim was to combine her people skills with entrepreneurship, which led her to start a very unique Culture Cafe- Amaara - in the quaint suburbs of Maradu, Kochi. Amaara was a place where likeminded people were to have a place to meet, to share ideas, to inspire and get inspired. The students at IIPM, Cochin got an idea about what can be done from their side as part of the society. The session gave an overall outlook to the GIDF initiatives been done across India.
