‘FUTURE SUMMIT’ as future on banking, insurance and Investment at IIPM Bhubaneshwar

On 7th of September 2011 with a combined effort of IIPM and ODISHA NIRMAN, a public-cum-private agency, a Symposium titled “FUTURE SUMMIT” was conducted in the premises of IIPM BBSR. It primarily focused on the Future of the students in the banking, insurance, financial services and investment sectors’. Many Eminent Personalities from the financial world and from the regulatory bodies were the guest speakers for this event. Mr. Baishnoba Parida Member of Parliament (Rajyasabha) graced the occasion including Mr. S.Saha DGM Canara Bank, Mr. Prafulla Dash DGM ICICI Bank, Mr. Dillip Mohanty VP Aditya Birla group, Mr. Laxmi Narayan Mishra EX-VC Utkal University. He started of the session by explaining about modern banking. All the speakers gave their own view on banking, insurance and investment. Moreover the whole session revolved around functioning, opportunity, employment and changes in modern banking, insurance and investments. Again Mr. Dash highlighted on modern private banking and how it is competing with the public sector banks. Students were very much involved through their questions regarding the topic. In this way the session became more interactive with huge amount of questions & answers from both sides. Finally the session ended up with lots of knowledge about scope, future in modern banking, insurance and investments for the students.
