This will happen only when growth and development is targeted more importantly for the bottom 80% of India's population; thus the club aspires to strengthen the Indian economy from its roots by making the weaker section of the society more educated, aware, healthy and employable.

IIPM Bhubaneswar conducts a Blood Donation Camp_1_1_1

On the celebration of GIDF week on 6th February 2011, IIPM Bhubaneswar conducted a Blood Donation Camp under the GIDF Club of IIPM. IIPM along with the Indian Red Cross Society through the govt. city hospital of Bhubaneswar organized this camp in the premises of IIPM. A total number of 40 students along with some of our employees have donated their blood. Refreshment & medical facility was there for the donors.

IIPM Bhubaneswar conducts a market survey on Applique work at Pipli_1_1_1

On 12th March 2012 a Market Survey on Appliqué Work conducted on the occasion of the celebration of the GIDF week under the GIDF Club of IIPM. Here on the same day Students went to Pipli village and conducted a survey on the understanding of the business model of Appliqué Art which is mainly concentrated in Pipli .They understood their marketing strategies and the reason of their concentration in Pipli. They even provided them with marketing tips which they have learnt from IIPM. In this way the survey went good for the students as well as for the business person at Pipli who are engaged in this Appliqué Work.

IIPM Bhubaneswar conducts a session on CSR _1_1_1

IIPM Bhubnaeswar conducted a session on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) under the GIDF Club of IIPM on 13th March 2012. Here the speaker who has an experience of more than 17 years in the corporate world gave a complete description of CSR to the students. The speaker told the students about the practical examples of CSR activity of different companies towards the society and also told them how it works for the beneficial for the company. It was moreover a kind of discussion between the students and the speaker. The whole session was revolved around questions and answers from both the sides. The whole session went for around 2 hours. In this way the session ended up with lots of knowledge for the students about the CSR activity.

IIPM Bhubaneswar conducts a movie session _1_1_1

On 14th March 2012 IIPM Bhubaneswar conducted a movie screening session of the best 3 GID documentary under the GIDF Club. Here the students were shown three documentaries of the GID video of IIPM Bhubaneswar, New Delhi, and Ahmedabad. The session was very much enjoyed by the students.

IIPM Bhubaneswar organizes a GIDF Founders day_1_1_1

On the celebration of GIDF Founder’s day IIPM Bhubaneswar went to Good Shepherd School, Satsang Vihar, Bhubaneswar on 28th March 2012 to celebrate the day with the school kids. At start a brief presentation on GIDF was given which was followed by the cake cutting ceremony. The GIDF Founder’s day was also celebrated as Donation day where IIPM Bhubaneswar donated the stationery materials to the school kids.The GIDF founder’s day was very much enjoyed by the school students. Few GIDF students went to the school and organized the event. IIPM Bhubaneswar also celebrated the GIDF founder’s day at office in the evening with cake cutting ceremony.

IIPM Bhubaneswar conducts a lecture on the theme “Environment” by Mr. Sujit Mohapatra_1_1_1

Club events at IIPM have always been inspiring students to think & act differently. On this celebration of GIDF week IIPM Bhubaneswar conducted a guest lecture on the theme “Environment “under the GID Club of IIPM on 18th June 2012. Mr. Sujit Mohapatra was the speaker for the day. Mr. Mohapatra is the founder of Bakul Foundation, Which mainly works for environment & education of the children. Mr. mohapatra started up the session by explaining about the nature & our environment. The students were shown various pictures, videos, and charts on different environment issues. It was a great learning for our students as they were told that how the global warming is related to the environment. Mr. Mohapatra told the students how we can save and take care of our nature.

IIPM Bhubaneswar conducts Collage Making event _1_1_1

On 21st June, 2012, IIPM Bhubaneswar conducted Collage Making Event on the theme Environment under the GID Club. It was a great fusion among the students who were immensely creative while presenting their collages. Students were basically divided into teams and were provided old newspapers & magazines which they used for their respective collages. Teams were given “Environment” as the theme for making their collages. A total time of 45 minutes was given to prepare the collages, later on the collages were judged & reviewed and the best team was announced. It was indeed a very nice & fun filled event where the students showed their consciousness on the environment on a piece of paper.

Celebration of Plantation Day at IIPM Bhubaneswar_1_1_1

On the celebration of the GIDF week IIPM Bhubaneswar has organized a tree adoption program under the GIDF Club of IIPM on 20th June 2012. Objective of this program was to create awareness among the students about global warming and its prevention. Here on the same day Students along with the professors planted the saplings around the campus of IIPM. Mr. Sujit & Ms. Shruti from Bakul Foundation also joined the event to encourage our students. In this way the a little effort towards green environment went good at the campus of IIPM Bhubaneswar.

IIPM Bhubaneswar conducts a Quiz based on environment_1_1_1

Club events at IIPM have alwayonducts a Quiz based on environments been inspiring students to think & act differently. On this celebration of GIDF week IIPM Bhubnaeswar conducted a Quiz competition based upon environment under the GID Club of IIPM on 22nd June 2012. Here the students were divided into different teams. Then they were asked different questions based on environmental issues. The whole session went on for around 1 hour. The session ended up with loads of knowledge for the students about our environment and nature. Finally the winners were declared and awarded by the judges.

IIPM Bhubaneswar organizes Corporate Quiz for its students on celebration of 3rd GIDF week_1_1_1

On the celebration of 3rd GIDF week, IIPM Bhubaneswar organized a Corporate Quiz as its first activity conducted by Prof Asha Naik on different companies on 25th September 2012. Students took active participation in the quiz and came prepared with their knowledge of different brands as well as the information about companies. They showed keen interest towards the same. The session was very much liked & enjoyed by the students.

IIPM Bhubaneswar conducts lecture on 'Critical Aspects of Employment Opportunity in India by Mr. H. Mahapatra_1_1_1

On the celebration of 3rd GIDF week IIPM Bhubaneswar conducted a lecture on “critical aspects of employment opportunity in India” based on the theme environment on 27th September 2012. Mr. H. Mahapatra who has been the CEO of Shardha Group and has got 17 years of industry experience came down to IIPM Bhubaneswar for taking the session with the students. Mr. H. Mahapatra was also the vice president: Management consulting- ERP Project in Athena Doyens, New Jersey, US. The session was very much liked & enjoyed by the students. It was an enriching and enlightening session for the students to gain some information about the employment scenario and to make up their mind in desired directions before entering into corporate world.

On 26th September 2012, IIPM Bhubanes's GID club organizes an exhibition on 'Unknown Achievers'war conducted an Exhibition on unknown achievers under the GIDF Club. It was a great fusion among the students who were immensely creative with presentation. Students were basically divided into teams and were provided old newspapers & magazines which they had to use for their respective work. Teams were given “Unknown Achievers” as the theme for making their stuff. Later on the exhibition was judged and the best exhibitor team was announced. Teams were also asked to speak about their respective work. It was indeed a very nice & fun filled event where the students came up with new ideas, new exploration and showed their consciousness, interest & creativity.

IIPM Bhubaneswar students visit an NGO named 'Smart India Vision'_1_1_1

On the celebration of GIDF week, IIPM Bhubaneswar conducted an NGO visit for the students on 28th September 2012. The NGO named – Smart India. The purpose of visit for IIPM students was to have an exploration about the workings of an NGO and to lend their services as a small contribution from their end as a return to society. The volunteers were very much thrilled and enthusiastic towards this visit and had participated actively towards the same. This visit was made possible and fruitful by the help of Mr. Biplab Parida, the Chairman and the team members of the above mentioned NGO.

IIPM Bhubaneswar conducts presentation for students on 'Unconventional Jobs and Business Avenues' in 3rd GIDF week._1_1_1

On the celebration of 3rd GIDF week, IIPM Bhubaneswar conducted a presentation on “Unconventional Jobs/Business Avenues” on 29th September 2012. The activity was conducted with a view to provide an opportunity for the students to have an exploration about the unconventional jobs or business ideas. Students came up with new offbeat ideas and made the occasion purposeful. Students were very much thrilled and enthusiastic towards this activity and had participated actively towards the same.

Candle light protest march by students of IIPM Bhubaneswar against the Delhi gang rape_1_1

The students of IIPM Bhubaneswar along with the faculty members held a candle light protest march against the Delhi gang rape at Janpath, Bhubaneswar. More than 40 youth joined this protest march. The protest was against the torture and gang-rape of the 23-year-old paramedical student in the capital of our country. The local people had also joined the protest march. “Prosecution and punishment is only a small part of the solution, it comes after the crime but the challenge is to prevent sexual assaults in the first place”, this was the view of every person present over there. The march culminated at a Church where all the people prayed for the girl.
