Aagman 2011 for SS and FW 11-13 batches - IIPM Hyderabad

IIPM Hyderabad has organized “Aagman-2011” for the batch of Spring Summer & Fall Winter-2011-13 at NIFT auditorium. After the traditional lightning of the lamp by Prof Shirani Nayar (Assoc. Dean, IIPM) and the chief guests for the evening Ms.Karuna Gopal (President of Foundation for Futuristic Cities & member of the Chief Minister’s Advisory Council of Andhra Pradesh) & Mr.Shravan (Fashion Designer), the night proceeded with enthralling performances. The event began with a welcome classical dance, which was a perfect blend of tradition and modernity. The dancers, Maria Manisha, Poorniam & Nita perfectly complemented each other in performance and expressions. After the opening dance, Vijay & group set the stage on fire with their hip hop dance performance. They tangoed; they free-styled and they danced their way into the hearts of the audience, ending to a huge applause. Continuing the fun it was Dev & Manish who gripped the audiences by performing to the latest tunes of bollywood, it was followed by two songs – karioke by sahil. Lastly it was bharat & group who mesmerized the audiences by performing to the tunes of Ra.One. The highlight of the show was the performance by IIPM Hyderabad Rock Band. The song list comprised of all crowd pleasers like Rock On, Delhi Belly, Hazel Eyes, Rockstar which rocked the audience and made sure that not a single soul was seated. Then came the most awaited event for the evening. The fashion show! This year, the fashion police at IIPM went beyond the usual and conducted the show in two rounds, the theme for the first round was "Goddess of Paradise" where in all the participants were dressed in white & for the second it was "Summer Hotness" in which the participants displayed the cool summer collections. As part of the event IIPM also crowns the Mr & Ms Aagman of the batch – a means to strengthen bond among the new comers by breaking the ice. It was Ms.Manisha from UGP/FW/10-13 & Mr. Arjun &Mr.Marwan from PGP/FW/11-13 who were declared as the Ms & Mr Aagman by the chief guests. Aagman 2011 had all the ingredients of a perfect show. Flawless emcees, terrific performances viewed by a wonderful audience.
