Aagman for FW 11-13-14 batches at IIPM Lucknow

“Aagman” as the name suggests means welcome. It's a cultural extravaganza wherein IIPM welcomes its first year students and these students get an opportunity to showcase their talents before an audience comprising of students and faculty members. IIPM, Lucknow organized the Annual Cultural Fest, Aagamn on 12th Oct'11 at the renowned Sangeet Natak Academy, Lucknow. The evening began with lightening of the ceremonial lamp by Dean Prof. Amlan Ray and the faculties Prof. Shilpi Saxena and Dr. Tarun Gangwar which was followed by traditional Saraswati Vandana. It was now time to hum soft melodies with IIPM students. The message of believing in the inner voice was conveyed through an English play based on one night @call center by the students of UG/FW/11-14. The students displayed their vocal talent through various solo and duet song performances. Then there was a comic musical skit by the students of PG/FW/11-13 which left the audience into splits of laughter. The students revealed a new dimension of dancing that crossed varied genres of dances- Classical, Rap, Pop and Free styling. The vibrant dance performance left the audience spellbound. There was a surprise solo song performance by IIPM faculty, Ajay Kumar who left the audience spellbound with his rendition of “Me koi aisa geet gau” from the movie “Yes Boss”. Then it was time for much awaited event of the evening “Fashion Show” which had three rounds namely- Traditional (ethnic), Formal and Cowboy theme. The event was followed by a delicious dinner for all. It was a fun filled event which once again proved that students at IIPM are full of talents and creativity.
