To widen our IIPMiets knowledge and identify the galaxy of scope in the Dairy Industry, which is definitely going to be fruitful for them in future. Another visit to Sachi Industry was planned on 12th July’2011. This was to accommodate the students who could not be taken for the first visit due to the Industry’s restriction on number of visitors.The visit was equally knowledge provoking and skill enhancing. The students were made known about the trends prevailing in milk industry. From processing to pasteurization each and every step involved was explained in detail to our IIPMiets. It enabled the students to comprehend the steps involved. The students were told as how the milk is collected from different areas and brought to the plant .The multistage purification process were also elaborated. As the session was interactive it really proved to be comprehensive. The students were briefed on the exceptional marketing campaign used by the brand. The visit was a new experience for the students because it gave them a multidimensional outlook to the students covering many aspects as well.

Heralded as the Oyster of the global dairy industry, The Indian dairy industry has potential for spurring substantial growth in the economy, considering this on 6th July’2011 an industry visit was organized for the IIPMiets to Sachi Milk Industry Indore to show them the alluring large number opportunities exiting in Dairy industry It was a detailed interactive session for the students which highlighted how milk is procured from rural areas, hygiene maintenance at the point of milking the animal, benefits to the farmers, the stages through which milk is processed –clarification ,standardization, homogenization and pasteurization, benefits of milk and milk products, butter manufacturing process etc. The session was also accompanied with a detailed explanation about the Marketing Strategies, Distribution Strategies and the Channels used and HR practices followed. Students’ queries were also answered.

Industry Visit to Tata International, Dewas by IIPM Indore

On 20 June 2011 the IIPMiets went on the expedition (Industry Visit) to Tata international, Dewas. Tata International is India’s leading manufacturer exporter of leather garments and products. Industry Visit to Gajra Gears by IIPM Indore

On 25th May’2011, number of IIPMiets was geared up to further on an Industry visit to Gajra Gears, which has grown to be known as a quality gear manufacturer not only in India but the world over.Currently Gajra Gears is the largest manufacturer of automobile transmission gears in India boasting strength of over 1000 trained and committed employees and offering a range of around 1700 gears for virtually every major brand of truck, car, jeep, and tractor.

Industry visit for IIPMiets indore to Eicher Motors Limited

On16 July 2011 the IIPMiets went on the expedition (Industry Visit) to Eicher Motors Limited, which comprises of the automotive businesses of the Eicher Group. Eicher Motors, is one of the prominent commercial vehicle manufacturers in India. It has been outperforming the industry for the past six years.Very first the students were acquainted to the four main heads under which all the process commences starting from Production & planning, Quality control, Cost control to Problem resolution. This proved to be a chance for students to understand the insights of real life organizational dynamics and accustomed them with the step by step production process.

Industry visit to Pratibha Syntex Pvt. Ltd by IIPM Indore

On 4 July 2011 the Spring Summer 10-12 was taken to Pratibha Syntex Pvt. Ltd.Pratibha Syntex Pvt. Ltd. launched its operations in the year 1997. there the students were told about vertical manufacturing set up, as Pratibha Syntex Pvt. Ltd.was India's first which had vertical manufacturing set up. The students were also given overview about the concept of forward integration and were explained how company adopted forward integration into Knitting-Dyeing-Garments Today, Pratibha is proud to be an Integrated Textile Company having a turnover of Rs. 350 crores and interests in raw cotton, cotton yarn, synthetic yarn, knitted fabric and garments. It enjoys the unique distinction of being the largest organic cotton producer in India.

Industrial Visit to Sachi Milk on 7 September 2011

To enhance their pool of knowledge IIPMiets visited to Sachi Milk Industry, on Wednesday 7th September 2011, where they got acquainted with the procedure through which milk is processed & the various steps involved in it .The IIPMiets were told the importance of pasteurization process. Along with this the student were given a snap shot on global milk industry and the prominent place India occupies in it. Further discussions were made on various milk products offered by Sachi and their specifications like Sachi lite which is specially for heart, diabetes patients along with various other products like butter,ghee,milk powder, etc. The visit was exhilarating for students as they came to know about the rural market also, which was earlier unnoticed for most of the students, as they belong to urban areas.

On 18, Oct’2011 IIPM students went on the expedition (Industry Visit) to Tata international, Dewas. Tata International is India’s leading manufacturer exporter of leather garments and products. All of Tata International’s leather products are elegant designs crafted from high-quality leather for style and absolute convenience. These are truly exclusive in fashion design with a slant on a bold mix of colors and embellishments. This was a chance for students to get acquainted with the insights of real life organizational dynamics and familiarizes them with issues of current concern of the industry. This has also proved to be an ideal opportunity to the students to understand the real functioning of the industry and get exposed to different work cultures. The students here also got a chance to interact with Mr. V.S. Pal who is the HR Head , who made the student known of the skills and requirement of the industry and the way by which student can excel in their performance.

Industry visit to Gajra Gears

Gajra Gears, being the largest manufacturer of automobile transmission gears in India, was considered to be educative for an Industry visit scheduled on the 29th Nov’2011. The company is now boasting strength of over 1000 trained and committed employees and offering a range of around 1700 gears for virtually every major brand of truck, car, jeep, and tractor, At the onset students began to learn by observing the process through which these gears are manufactured. Apart from the gaining details on the steps involved in the process, stress was also laid on the precision which needs to be maintained while the production Through this visit, the students gathered awareness on the clients of the firm, which included names like Force motors, Eicher, Mahindra, Kirlosker etc. They also attained a chance to understand the departmentalization, hierarchy followed & the overall organizational structure.
